Alumni Event Opportunities
Alumni Event Host
BC Alumni Relations hosts alumni events throughout Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and beyond. Volunteering as an alumni event host lets you connect with BC alumni in your area and provides the opportunity to reconnect with old friends or make new ones! Examples of events include (but are not limited to): Eagles Night Out (annually each spring), Wine Down Wednesdays, professional sporting events, theatrical performances and more, including suggestions from you!

- • Homecoming & Reunion Planning – Every year, the Alumni Relations team works with classes in reunion to host specialty events and gatherings during Homecoming. If your 50th reunion is coming up, follow the links to get involved and learn more! If you will be in reunion for Homecoming and would like to help host a special class event, fill out the volunteer interest form below.
- ◦ Mocktails & Mingling – A Homecoming exclusive event where alumni are invited to interact with students in a relaxed environment and help them practice their networking skills.
- • Women in Leadership Panel – Held annually in late March. To celebrate Women’s History Month, we invite alumna to share their career journeys and unique experiences in the workforce.
- • Eagles We Haul – Join the annual tradition to help welcome the newest class of Eagles! Held normally the third Thursday of August, from 8:30 AM – 12 PM. See a photo gallery from last year’s event!
- • Eagles Explore – Hosted by the Center for Career Development, this event will include an opening keynote speaker, alumni panel, networking lunch, information fair and skills workshops. This isn’t just a career fair; it’s an opportunity for students to explore possibilities, make connections and build relationships! Alumni volunteers are needed to serve as panelists, connect with students and faculty over lunch and share information about job and internship opportunities.
- ◦ Nolen School of Business and Professional Studies: November 5, 10 AM – 3 PM (Register to Volunteer Now!)
- ◦ Coffman School of Natural Sciences: February 19 (Registration opens in early 2027)
- ◦ Rhodes School of Arts and Humanities: March 11 (Registration opens in early 2027)
Virtual Opportunities
- • Admissions Postcard Writing Campaign – Held annually in February through March. Alumni are invited to write postcards to newly admitted students. Visit the Alumni Events page when registration opens in early February!
- • Refer an Eagle and help Bridgewater strengthen its pool of prospective students!
- • Nominate a classmate for one of our many alumni awards and acknowledge their excellence and success as a Bridgewater graduate.
- • Serve on the Bridgewater College Alumni Association or nominate a classmate.
- • Connect with the Center for Career Development for additional opportunities, such as class presentations or department workshops!
