A business expo designed to help connect Bridgewater College students with local businesses and residents will be held Sept. 6 from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the Boitnott Room and Kline Campus Center (KCC) lobby on the college campus.
The event, which is sponsored by the BC student chapter of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO) and the Greater Ashby Business Council of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce, is free and open to the public.
“This is the seventh year that BC celebrates the business expo. It’s a unique opportunity for local businesses to showcase their products to the Bridgewater community,” said faculty adviser Maria V. Lugo, an associate professor of economics and business administration at Bridgewater. “This year we will have the participation of more than 20 local businesses, including businesses from Harrisonburg, Rockingham and Augusta counties.”
Each business at the expo will have tables for displaying information about products or services. Students and residents who attend will be able to browse the tables, meet owners and managers and learn about products and services. Many of the participating businesses will offer giveaways and door prize drawings. Additionally, the expo will feature door prizes for the event as a whole.
