Giving Back So BC Can Grow: Amanda Curry Graziano ’95

Amanda Graziano

Amanda Curry Graziano ’95 has fond memories of coming to Eagles football and baseball games as a child with her father, John Curry II ’66, and his friends. She decided from a young age that she would follow in his footsteps.

“Around the time when I was learning to swim, the new pool opened at BC,” she remembers. “I announced that I would be going to Bridgewater College when I grew up so that I could swim in that pool whenever I wanted.”

Graziano did end up at BC, where she majored in psychology. She then earned a master’s degree in reading from James Madison University and launched a long career as an educator. Graziano credits BC for setting her on that path.

“I loved my early education classes at Bridgewater,” she says. “I felt well prepared when I was a first-year teacher right out of college. I was thankful for all the real-life experiences we were given to prepare us for becoming educators.”

Graziano, an elementary literacy coach, remains involved with her alma mater as President-Elect of the Alumni Association and a donor.

“I believe in the vision and mission of Bridgewater College. I donate so that the College is able to grow.”
