Bridgewater College is proud to announce it’s been named both a “Best Value” and “Best College” in the latest rankings released by Research.com, a leading platform in the field of academic research and education. These rankings, covering various categories, showcase Bridgewater College’s commitment to excellence and dedication to making the Bridgewater experience accessible and affordable.
Bridgewater was the top-ranked Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia (CICV) school on Research.com’s “Best Value Colleges in Virginia” list. In addition, BC was also honored as a “Best Value College in the South.” Institutions on these lists are classified based on return-on-investment value, which analyzes the ratio of mean salary in the first six months after graduation to the average cost of tuition and fees.
The rankings come on the heels of the College’s recent tuition transparency announcement: a commitment to being transparent about the cost of higher education and offering a private college experience at a public university cost. Bridgewater College will be lowering the published undergraduate tuition price to $15,000 beginning in fall 2024.
“It is an honor to see Bridgewater College recognized for our commitment to delivering high-quality education and remaining accessible and affordable for students. Our recent decision to lower our undergraduate tuition price underscores a commitment to ensuring that the Bridgewater experience is within reach for every student,” said Dr. David Bushman, President of Bridgewater College.
In addition to the “Best Value” listings, Bridgewater College ranked on the “Best Colleges in Virginia” and “Best Colleges in the South” categories. Colleges receiving these rankings were evaluated on four different areas: financial aid, acceptance rate and retention, faculty-to-student ratio and campus life.
