Bards Ablaze Theatre Collective will present a one-hour abridgement of William Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Juliet” on Valentine’s Day.
Bards Ablaze Theatre Collective will present a one-hour abridged version of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, in the Concert Hall in the Carter Center for Worship and Music at Bridgewater College.
Romeo and Juliet is a well-known play about two star-crossed lovers who love, fight for each other and die in each other’s arms. The production invites audience members to join the cast in exploring Shakespeare’s work and finding something new to love. Romeo and Juliet is a play filled with comedy, tragedy, romance, music, dance and fights.
Bards Ablaze Theatre Collective is a group of 16 students studying in Mary Baldwin University’s Shakespeare and Performance graduate degree program.
The performance is free and open to the public.
