Christine Carrillo received a D.M.A. and M.M. in trumpet performance from The University of Texas, and a B.M. in trumpet performance and B.M.E. in instrumental conducting from the University of Illinois. Her research interests include gender role identity in music, Giuseppe Torelli’s “33 Sonate con Tromba” and chamber music.
