Bridgewater College alumna and award-winning watercolor artist Beverly Perdue Jennings ’68, who paints under her maiden name of Beverly Perdue, will exhibit a selection of her recent oil and watercolor paintings. Perdue is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society and the Transparent Watercolor Society of America. She has been awarded “Best in Show” in annual exhibitions organized by the Virginia Watercolor Society and the Southern Watercolor Society.
An Artist’s Journey will be showcased Monday, Sept. 30, through Wednesday, Oct. 30, in the Beverly Perdue Art Gallery located on the main level of the John Kenny Forrer Learning Commons.
The art exhibition will have an opening reception in the gallery from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, with an artist’s talk at 5:30 p.m.
The art exhibition, opening reception and artist’s talk are free and open to the public. The gallery is open from 7:30 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday; 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday; and noon to midnight on Sunday.
