Eric Kniss, Associate Professor of Art at Bridgewater College, will exhibit installation art that explores the relationships between sculptures made of sifted kaolin – a very fine clay powder – and graphite drawings. Examples of Kniss’ previous kaolin sculptures and drawings can be found at his website. This exhibition is the culmination of Kniss’ 2024 summer residency in the Beverly Perdue Art Gallery.

ABOVE | BELOW will be showcased Monday, Aug. 26, through Wednesday, Sept. 25, in the Beverly Perdue Art Gallery located on the main level of the John Kenny Forrer Learning Commons.

The art exhibition will have an opening reception in the gallery from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, with an artist’s talk at 5:30 p.m.

The art exhibition, opening reception and artist’s talk are free and open to the public. The gallery is open from 7:30 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday; 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday; and noon to midnight on Sunday.
