Orientation

Orientation is an important first step in becoming a BC Eagle! We’re excited for you to have the opportunity to engage with faculty, staff and current students through a variety of sessions. Every college approaches orientation differently, but at Bridgewater, orientation happens in two parts: Summer Orientation and Fall Welcome Week.

Step 1: First-Year Student Summer Soar Orientation

We highly encourage and invite you and your family to connect and engage in one of the following in-person, on-campus orientation days. This is a half-day visit to campus for students and their family members to connect and engage with campus resources, explore academic opportunities and connect with faculty members. Bonus: you’ll leave with lots of BC swag!

Step 2: Welcome Week

For new, first-year students, Welcome Week is a mandatory part of your first-year experience. August 20 is the day that you’ll join our Bridgewater community. Welcome Week is designed for you to meet your CL 100 classmates and Soar Mentor, to learn expectations of living in the BC community, and to provide resources to enhance your academic success. Welcome Week is your first step in discovering how you belong in the BC Community.

This is a half-day visit to campus for students and their family members to connect and engage with campus resources, explore academic opportunities and connect with faculty members. Bonus: you’ll leave with lots of BC swag!

Step 2: Welcome Day

Transfer students, please mark your calendars for Sunday, August 23. Your mandatory Welcome Day will help you become acclimated to BC, meet CL 150 classmates and professors, and make sure you are ready for your first day of class.

This is your first step towards discovering how you belong in the BC community.
