Nonprofit leaders are navigating a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Artificial intelligence is creating new opportunities for impact—but it also raises important questions about ethics, equity, and responsible use.
Our keynote speaker is Thema Monroe-White, PhD, Associate Professor at George Mason University. Her work focuses on AI literacy by seeking to foster more equitable systems, including understanding how AI and policy systems intersect to shape education, labor, and innovation opportunities for historically minoritized and marginalized groups. She will discuss what nonprofit leaders need to know about AI and how organizations can engage in these technologies thoughtfully while staying grounded in mission and values.
The evening will also include the introduction of Bridgewater College’s new Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management. This year, our first cohort of students have worked with nonprofits to design a new internship program and to support the strategy and outreach for a Day of Giving Campaign, offering a glimpse of how the program connects classroom learning with real community impact.
