Your future is waiting

Want to spend a semester in D.C.? Through the Washington Center’s Academic Internship Program, you’ll be matched with an internship related to your interests, participate in career workshops and networking events to develop your professional skills and complete an academic course in the evening.

Designed for students in any major, the program has hundreds of internship sites available, in areas such as accounting and finance, business, communication, computer science, criminal justice and law, economics, education, environmental science, international relations, non-profit organizations, political science, psychology and public health.

You’ll earn 15 credits upon completing your semester with the Washington Center. During your semester, you’ll live with other Washington Center interns in a dedicated building with 24-hour front desk security, not far from the National Mall and with easy access to the D.C. Metro.

Program eligibility requirements:

  • Complete at least 30 credit hours of academic work at Bridgewater College
  • Have status as a junior

Students will need to complete paperwork with the Office of Financial Aid, in addition to any financial aid disbursement forms required by the program provider.
